Specifications: 260×100×280 mm. Material: Pottery. There are eight people on a camel. Historical Information: A platform is set up on the back of the camel, paved with a long checkered-patterned blanket. There are eight figurines of musicians and dancers on it, including seven male musicians and one female dancer. The musician figurines are sitting around the platform, each holding one of the seven musical instruments such as the flute, konghou (an ancient plucked stringed instrument), pipa (a four-stringed Chinese lute), sheng (a reed pipe wind instrument), xiao (a vertical bamboo flute), clappers, and panpipes, playing intently. The female dancer stands gracefully among the seven musician figurines, gently waving her long sleeves and singing and dancing. This group of figurines of musicians and dancers is a typical work of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. The dancers and musicians are all dressed in Han-style clothing, but most of the musical instruments they use were introduced from the Western Regions, representing the "New Sounds of Hu Tribe" that was popular during the Kaiyuan and Tianbao periods, namely the new dance and music after the fusion of Hu and Han cultures. The glaze colors are bright and vivid, harmonious and natural.
